Operations Architecture

An Operations Architecture is a framework that ties together everything related to IT operations. OA supports the effort required to deal with the business, operational, and technical issues encountered in supporting service demands and emerging technologies. An up-to-date, finely tuned OA is essential in helping an organization avoid the risk of overlooking important dependencies and relationships which may not be obvious.

But an Operations Architecture is not static: significant changes in the OA become necessary as organizations move in new directions, such as collaboration with their business partners and customers. Because of the ever-growing complexity in conducting business, organizations need a comprehensive Operations Architecture that addresses not only present and future technology issues, but also the integration of technology with people and business processes.

Dante OA solutions begin with gathering and examining the demands and expectations of the stakeholders, then translate those into service level requirements. Next, we assess the current and planned capabilities of the technical infrastructure, the process workflows, and the staff. Finally, by comparing requirements to capabilities, we highlight areas which are in need of improvement, whether due to inefficiency, redundancy, or a shortage of capacity.

The result is a detailed Operations Architecture and an implementation plan, based on Dante´s extensive experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing complex systems for an array of premier organizations. The plan presents a new networked infrastructure that will satisfy existing and future business and technology requirements, as well as a process design that will streamline communications between the operations team and its customers.

Dante experts also provide the following services, which are associated with Operations Architecture and often included in an OA engagement:

  • System Tuning and Performance
  • Systems Management and Monitoring
  • Operations Readiness Assessment
